What are Pantone colors?

Pantone colors are part of the PMS (Pantone Matching System). The PMS system was created in the 1950's to help designers & printers to standardize color reproduction on printed items. Pantone colors assure that a color is reproduced the same across all printing methods and that the color a graphic designer chooses is the color that is printed. Pantone colors are generally picked using a swatch book of limited colors.

At Custom Comet we use Pantone C or coated swatches for color matching.
